Kelvin Fletcher has been a household name for most of his life thanks after capturing the nations heart with his portrayal of troubled Andy Sugden in Emmerdale.

After leaving the show in 2016 he’s gone on to TV drama and film and famously lifted the Strictly Come Dancing glitterball, again capturing the nations hearts with his sensational dancing!

Kelvin has a string of TV dramas released this year as well as his own BBC One documentary series, Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure, which sees him move his family out to the countryside as they adapt to a new life of farming.

To add just a bit more flavour, Kelvin is also a racing driver and co-founder of Paddock Motorsport. He now competes in the GT3 class in the Intelligent Money British GT Championship alongside fellow co-founder Martin Plowman.

Despite a relatively late and somewhat unorthodox introduction into motorsport, Kelvin’s drive and determination has seen him successfully compete in a range of championships from club racing with the Mighty Minis to the famous BTCC.

Now in his 10th year racing he has firmly established himself as one of the leading bronze racing drivers in the country and after securing the British GT4 Pro-Am championship with Martin Plowman in 2019, they are now set on claiming the GT3 Championship.

With a huge desire to race overseas and across the globe, it would be no surprise to see Kelvin competing in the some of the world’s biggest races with the likes of Le Mans and Bathurst firmly on his radar.

A true champion in every sense.

Steve Ruston

JOHN WHITEHOUSE

Steve Ruston first cut his teeth in motorsport racing in mini-stox on short ovals between the age of 12-18 years old, before taking a hiatus from racing and turning his attention to business.

Steve's second stint in racing came in his mid 20's with several succesfull seasons racing in the highly competitive Caterham Seven Championship UK. A further 9-year-hiatus from racing followed to pursue his rapidly growing business Westcroft American Motorhomes.

The racing bug was still very much in him, though, and in 2015 Steve got involved in motorsport once again. He returned to the Caterham Sevens Championship, where he completed two more seasons. After that, Steve made the switch into GT racing, teaming up with friend and co-driver John Whitehouse.

Sticking together ever since, John and Steve won the overall GT Cup championship in 2019 and retained the GTH crown in 2020. They joined Paddock Motorsport in 2021 and moved up to GT3s with the team for the 2022 season.

________________________________________________________________________________________

A relative late starter in motorsport, John Whitehouse has more than worked hard enough to make up for any lost time. Also starting his career in the Caterham Sevens UK Championship, John spent several years learning his craft in the series before teaming up with Steve Ruston and switching to GT racing.

After two years in a Ginetta G55 GT4, Ruston and Whitehouse took the decision to switch manufacturers to race a McLaren 570S GT4. The move paid instant dividends as the pair went on to claim both their class and overall GT Cup championships. The 2020 season saw the pair successfully defend their GTH Class championship.

For 2021, Ruston and Whitehouse switched to the newly formed Paddock Motorsport team. Initially, luck was not always on the pair's side, with their results not doing their pace or work ethic justice. By the second half of the season, though, they were both back to their best, recording five podium finishes in the final three rounds of the season, which also included a win in the endurance race at Snetterton at the final round of the season.

Having won all there is to win in the GTH Class, the popular pairing have moved up into GT3 racing for 2022 - still remaining with Paddock Motorsport, in a McLaren, and in the GT Cup.

Scott Wright

Former professional rugby player, Scott Wright gained various school boy age grade achievements, before being scouted by Worcester Warriors and signed his first full time professional contact at just 17 years old. Scott enjoyed a successful 12 year professional playing career until injury forced his hand to retire from the game on a full time basis.

Scott still has an active role in the game, offering a helping hand to childhood club Nuneaton RFC when his busy lifestyle around work, motor racing and family commitments allow him to do so.

Scott has always had a passion for motorsport and was first introduced to racing as an 8 year old competing in the MSA Cadet championship in 1998 alongside Paddock Motorsport team-owner, Martin Plowman. 1998 turned out to be Scott's only season of racing to date, but the two remained life-long friends. Now 32 and retired from professional rugby, Scott has returned to racing competing in the ultra-competitive BRSCC MX5 SuperCup championship.

2021 marked Scott's first full season in the MX5 SuperCup and he produced some standout drives at the Brands Hatch and Donington rounds where he claimed his very first Club class podium.

Scott hopes to continue his steep learning curve with the help and guidance of Paddock Motorsport and bring home more silverware in 2022.
